Grocery retailers across the United States began accepting online shopping with EBT benefits shortly after the Department of Agriculture launched the online shopping pilot through its Food and Nutrition Service branch.
The choice of retailers is numerous, but there is one caveat.
Not all states list the same grocery retailers as locations that accept online EBT orders. And not all supermarkets accept EBT.

Some online grocery delivery apps accept EBT cards, such as:
- Amazon offers paid EBT

- AmazonPantry can be paid with EBT or SNAP benefits.

Albertsons
Albertsons was a latecomer to the online shopping program, but now that it is part of the program, it offers EBT online shopping at 200 locations.
These locations only include Albertson's Drive Up and Go stores.
SNAP EBT payment optionit is now a clickable link to participating Albertsons retail stores.
Be sure to check with Albertsons for specific foods if this is the case, as some items that are on the typical SNAP list may not translate to Albertsons.

Safeway is one of the largest supermarket chains in the United States, accepting online orders for EBT in ten states plus Washington D.C. Be sure to check with Safeway before attempting to shop at EBT to ensure your state is a participant.
Safeway only delivers through independent contractor channels, but offers curbside pickup for anything you order from any of its online stores, including orders placed with EBT payments.
They require you to create an account with them before making a purchase. After creating an account, you can log into a Safeway online store and shop using your EBT card.

Vons is an Albertsons flagship store and has chain stores in 35 states. While Albertsons is more of a physical store with online perks, Vons is more focused on the online ordering side.
Of course, like all stores on the list, call and confirm Vons and its status pJoin the online shopping pilot.
Vons offers curbside pickup for all online orders, including EBT purchases.
On a side note, the Albertsons and Vons have donated hundreds of millions of dollars to charities to provide financial assistance and assistance to those in need. Vons is a house that supports many good causes.
Walmart
Walmart is one of the top food and commodity retailers on the list and is offering its services through the online shopping pilot in most states that are part of the program.

Food Lion isn't part of the national giant status club of other online retailers, but it does offer quality products.
They also make shopping online as convenient as possible with a simple search and order process and curbside pickup for your online purchases.
They even have a FoodLionToGo app that you can access, order and buy instantly.

Part of the Golub Corporation, Price Chopper has made a name for itself by focusing on long-term customers and serving local communities in connection with its places of business.
Price Chopper even offers free shipping on your first three orders when you sign up to use your EBT card to shop online.
Simply create a Price Chopper online account and add your EBT card to your payment method.
When shopping through their online platform, all EBT-eligible items are clearly marked so you'll know what is and isn't when checking items in your shopping cart.

Neimann foods
Neimann Foods is a country-style food retailer founded in the 1940s. They currently have 100 stores open across the US, so you might be out of luck finding a store near you.
Neimann Foods accepts EBT online payments for curbside pickup in several states, but be sure to call ahead and ensure your state and local Neimann Foods is participating in the online shopping pilot.
Save Mart
Save Mart was the first supermarket chain in North Carolina to join the online shopping pilot and offer services through Instacart.
To shop online at Save Mart, you must do so through Instacart.
As with other grocery stores, you must create an Instacart account to shop and use your EBT cards to order online.

Food Maxx is another Instacart partnership that allows online shopping with an EBT card.
Food Maxx is more like a "warehouse" supermarket along the lines of Sam's Club or Costco.
The exception is that it's not that big either.
As it continues to expand, more and more consumers will be able to take advantage of low prices and quality products.
Strack e Van Til
Strack and Van Til is a partnership that has turned the two markets into a larger and highly successful supermarket chain.
Now offering online payments with EBT cards for curbside pickup and delivery (depending on location).
You need to create an account with them, but it's not a tedious process.
Mercado 32
Market 32 is part of Golub Corporation and has partnered with one of the aforementioned grocery stores, Price Chopper. Like Price Chopper, Market 32 accepts online orders with EBT payments.
Just like Price Chopper, when you sign up with your EBT card, you get free delivery on your first three orders.
Market 32 is essentially Price Chopper with a different name, so you'll find the same quality groceries for the same low prices everywhere.
Brookshire Grocery and Pharmacy
Brookshire now accepts EBT online payments for curbside pickup, but for select locations only.
You will need to contact your local Brookshires to ensure they participate and that you can use your EBT card to buy groceries online.
Currently, Brookshire's only services are online orders with EBT in Texas and Louisiana.
Although it is currently a small area, Brookshire hopes to expand further in the near future and bring more online ordering benefits to more customers with EBT benefits.

Like some of the grocery stores above, you do all of your Publix shopping on Instacart, where you create an account and add your EBT card.
Instacart is growing in popularity and as you can see from this list, it is gradually becoming the driving force behind many renowned grocery delivery services.
Hands
Kroger is a direct competitor to Publix with almost identical stores, layouts and prices.
It stands to reason that if one joins the online shopping pilot, the other will surely follow.
EBT online orders are for curbside pickup only. Create a Kroger account and add your EBT card to the payment.
The main difference between Krogers and Publix is thisHookThey don't use Instacart but they deliver the groceries to your doorstep.

Like many retailers before it, Lucky Supermarkets partnered with Instacart to launch its online ordering, delivery and pickup business.
Fortunately, they also added online ordering and EBT card payments.
Lucky Supermarkets is unique but small for now, so only a small portion of customers can enjoy the EBT online ordering convenience that Lucky Supermarkets has now brought to the table.

The Electronic Benefits Transfer Card
It cannot be used for food assistance benefits to buy nonfood items such as pet foods, soaps, paper products, household supplies, grooming items, alcoholic beverages, tobacco, vitamins, medicines, food to eat in the store, or hot foods.
Domino's accepts EBT card payments at certain locations in California and Arizona, according to the First Quarter Finance (FQF) website. Those are two of the states that opted into the SNAP Restaurant Meals Program (RMP) that allows qualifying EBT recipients to buy prepared foods.
